Kugler Company to Expand to Central and Eastern Cornbelt

MCCOOK, NE, February 14, 2013 – High quality ammonium thiosulphate (ATS) will soon be available to ag liquid suppliers throughout the Central and Eastern Cornbelts. Hydrite Chemical Company’s Terre Haute, Indiana facility will have product available in the fall of 2013, with production of ATS to follow, a result of a long-term agreement between Nebraska-based Kugler Company and Wisconsin-based Hydrite Chemical Company.

ATS is a standard product for the U.S. liquid fertilizer industry. Over the past thirty years, use of ATS has steadily increased due to soil deficiencies and proper usage has been proven to produce higher yields for producers, compatibility with most liquid NPK sources, and ease of handling. The Terre Haute plant will complement both existing ATS production and planned expansion of Hydrite Chemical Company’s Waterloo, Iowa plant.
