Kugler KQXRN - Extended Release Nitrogen
KQXRN is a non-burning, clear 28% nitrogen solution that contains a mixture of both controlled and quick release forms of nitrogen. When applied to turf, it delivers a quick green up while providing sustained and non-surge growth. Originally formulated as a non-burning turf fertilizer, KQXRN has proved to be a versatile product in applications where a special source of liquid nitrogen is needed. KQXRN is very compatible with most insecticides, herbicides and fungicides and can easily be applied with standard spray equipment. Characterized by its controlled release, non-burning properties and its quick green-up and long term stability, we are confident KQXRN will exceed your expectations.
Looking for a way to kick your corn yields up a notch? Then consider foliar feeding KQXRN. A properly timed foliar application of KQXRN can make a good yield great.
KQXRN is a clear liquid, slow release methylene urea nitrogen (28-0-0 with 70% slow release nitrogen) created through a special manufacturing process that utilizes UF chemistry. KQXRN when applied foliar, can circumvent the root system and penetrate directly into the leaf. This has a two-fold benefit. First, it reliably feeds the plant, and second, it allows the plant to conserve significant amounts of energy that it can better use to tolerate stress.
When applied as a foliar spray, KQXRN coats the leaf tissue with a clear film that lasts for weeks. It also penetrates the waxy layer of any leaf tissue. KQXRN releases nitrogen through the effects of heat, hydrolysis, microbial activity and UV radiation. As this happens, nitrogen is released to the plant over a period of up to 35 days on the leaf surface and up to 8-10 weeks in the soil. Plants absorb and store the N in KQXRN and then use it as needed over this multi-week period, allowing the full benefit of the rate.
How important is foliar feeding? Researchers found that foliar feeding maintains a better overall nutrient balance within the plant, which may not be achieved through soil uptake alone. They note that root distribution, soil temperature, available soil moisture, soil-nutrient imbalance and other factors can limit nutrient absorption through roots. Foliar feeding KQXRN can be one of the most efficient ways to supply essential N to a growing corn crop. It provides a method of delivering N at critical growth stages when the corn plant can use it the most.
Fertility management has become pretty basic stuff over the years soil test, recommendation and application. But now the old rules are being questioned and conventional wisdom, challenged. Led by new technologies especially the ability to measure yields at precise field points the best fertilizer timing is when plants need it and can use it to produce higher yields. This boost profits, cuts down on wasted nutrients and lowers environmental concerns.
Often, the best time for foliar application coincides with recommended spraying times for herbicides and pesticides. The convenience of mixing KQXRN with glyphosates and other chemicals has increased the interest in foliar feeding. More growers are realizing that by adding KQXRN to their spray program, not only does it boost yields, but it makes very efficient use of their spray equipment.
Why Use KQXRN?
- Low salt index (24)
- Nitrogen is released over a long period of time
- No burn
- Can be used both foliar and soil applied
- Less leaching and volitization
- Reduces plant stress
- Acts as a sticker/spreader and increases the adhesion of other pesticides
- For an extra boost of N, you can fertilize the crop and not the soil
- Can replace water as the carrier
